Curious about what albums were influential in shaping the sound of some of Chicago's best bands? Join us for the Whistler's new monthly series, Playing Favorites, where musicians pay homage to the music that resonates most with them, be it a collection of songs from one artist or band or an entire album. On Sunday, June 24th, two local bands will hang up their own songs and try on some others for a night. Netherfriends will be playing the music of Harry Nilsson and experimental jazz trio Stirrup (Fred Lonberg-Holm, Charles Rumback, and Nick Macri) will play the album "Parallel Lines"by Blondie.
